Although Denmark has a long history of receiving migrants from abroad, it is only recently that there has been a shift in the mindset of institutions to cater for foreign residents – and there is still a long way to go!

The establishment of the International Citizens Service Center ( with offices in Copenhagen, Aalborg, Aarhus and Odense was a landmark step regarding access to information, however foreigners still face challenges when it comes to receiving practical help with starting up, as many of the organizations (such as banks, utility companies etc.) continue to only have websites and documentation in Danish. International House offers face-to-face help with paperwork but only during the working day (

This is where Global Europeans steps in. With the relocation service, I offer practical help online or face-to-face with for example:

  • finding the right service provider for your needs
  • setting up utilities
  • speaking to officials
  • dealing with paperwork

… and more. Just let me know what your challenge is and if I can help you, I will. I only charge when there is work to be done. Tips are for free.
